Texas Bake Shops

I-20 / Lindale

Collin Street Bakery has just built its 4th location in Lindale, near Tyler, on I-20 and FM 849 (Hideaway Lake exit).

Featuring custom-made sandwiches made fresh daily from our own unique breads, home style soups, garden-fresh salads, and gourmet coffees at our Cinchona Coffee Bar. And of course, all the other bakery goodies you love, like artisan breads, dozens of varieties of cookies, pies, cakes and pastries.

The bakery's Southern Plantation Style architecture reflects its founding in Corsicana in 1896. You'll be greeted with tall white columns, big windows, high ceilings and lots of shopping room. Plus a warm and inviting dining area where you can grab a meal and relax from the road for a while.

Thank you for a wonderful experience. Your bakery and dinning facility was one of the best I have been to. The fruitcake was wonderful.

Stopped by last Sunday - thanks for wonderful lunch of soup and sandwiches for the family. Great food, good prices, and the pecan pie we took home was the best I've ever eaten.

My family and I stumbled upon your bakery on our way to Dallas last year & now try to come up once every 2/3 months. We are taking our son there in a few weeks to get some treats for his birthday before heading to the zoo. CAN'T WAIT! Everything we have tried there is delicious... from the cookies, to the raisin bread, to the soups!

OH MY GOODNESS! This was the first time for us to try the fruit cakes, we stopped in to get a sandwich after being on the road and they had a special buy 2 for $25.00. We got the blonde and the apricot and it was SO GOOD...SO MOUTH WATERING. YOU JUST CAN'T STOP EATING IT. GOTTA TRY IT IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE SO. YUMMY!

A Texas size THANK YOU to the manager and staff in Waco. The location is beautiful, clean and of course the food is excellent, but it's the people that make it successful. I will continue to shop there and tell others of my experience. Traveling from Austin to Fort Worth last week I stopped in for one of the delicious pies. While there I lost a ring that was very special to me. I called and spoke with the manager the next morning and he said no one had turned in a ring but was kind enough to take my name and number. Expecting never to hear from him, I was surprised to receive a call later the same day. An older couple had found my ring. I am very thankful to them for turning it in and for the manager who took time out of busy day to see that it was returned to me.

Our local homeschool group took a tour of the bakery in Waco. All the staff were very friendly. They did a wonderful job teaching our kids about the history of the business and what goes on daily at this store. The samples were delicious too! I always thought sugar cookies seemed boring until I tasted the ones made here. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to show us around and answer all of our questions!

This is an AMAZING location -- it is clean and the staff are very nice. I bought the apple pie -- and although I am not very much of a pie person, it tasted great. Later on, I bought a chicken salad sandwich and a tomato-based noodle soup! SO GOOD!
This location is the perfect place to study -- there are plenty of tables, plugs, and free Wi-Fi! Plus, the staff are really receptive of students. The manager (I believe) came up and greeted me, which was a very nice gesture to make. Collin Street Bakery (Bellmead location) is now my favorite place to study and go get desserts!

I had ordered the fruitcakes for the holiday season in years past and missed them. This year, I ordered one for our family holiday gathering. My family and friends, who don't like fruitcake, were surprised at how delicious it was. They are full of fruit - moist and wonderful! Thank you Collin Street bakers!!!

I had been searching for a good fruitcake and ran across this website. I started to order b/f Christmas; however, decided to wait. We had to make a trip to TX for a funeral and we passed by the location in Lindale, I told my husband that we must stop by there on the way home, so I wrote the exit # down.

On our way out Saturday morning, we stopped to pick up some fruitcake; however, we ate a delicious biscuit, egg, cheese & bacon & coffee prior to purchase. My husband said that was the best biscuit and egg he had EVER had.

They let me sample both the regular fruitcake and the Strawberry fruitcake and it was absolutely delicious. We ended up with a fruitcake and the last Strawberry fruitcake, a plate of cookies, cheese crisps & 4 bottles of water. I wish we had some place like this in Birmingham. We have nothing in the way of fresh baked goods that would even begin to compare to this place. I, also might add, the place is really cute, almost reminds me of a carousel. I may never cross the roads to TX again; however, I will be ordering.

Thank you Collin Street bakery!
