Once opened, if properly stored in an airtight container and refrigerated between servings, our DeLuxe^® can stay fresh and moist for up to six months. For longer storage, we recommend placing our fruitcake in the freezer, where it can stay fresh for up to twelve months.

Actually, those are not candies. They are cherries and pineapples that have been glaceéd and then dyed. Glaceéd fruit is preserved fruit that's been created by slowly soaking in sugar syrup. After glaceéing, Christmas-themed red and green coloring is added to the fruit, giving our fruitcakes a festive holiday look and feel.
